OK, I'll share. Just google "Onewalrus" or "Pablo DiCiacco" and everything which comes up is me and my web meanderings.
I started using Firefox before it was hot or foxy.

Well to be completely honest I am a little new to firefox and I dont use it faithfully yet! My future mother in law installed it for me and swears by it but I am still feeling it out. I am not real big on change. Lol...I am still getting used to my Vista.
At the risk of sounding completely geeky and offensive (I can't help myself) ... I have to ask:
Whatever possessed you to use the Vista OS? Why do I ask?
Since it came out until now, XP has now been honed into an extremely reliable OS. Vista will go through a period of years, just as XP did, with updates, security fixes and device drivers. Why, I ask, would one put themselves through the torture of being a voluntary tester for MS when XP is already refined. In addition, Vista is ridiculously resource hungry! It is, plain and simple, a greedy glutton of an OS.
IE 6 or 7 vs Firefox:
Both IE's are far less secure and far more resource intensive that Firefox. Both IE's are either extremely difficult to manipulate and customize for efficiency, while Firefox can be dealt with by a second-grader in every respect.
Nearly every problem with the IE's have to be dealt with through MS updates or tweaks. With Firefox there are not constrains to the development and improvements. IE is seldom, if ever updated for efficiency, Firefox is on a (bi) monthly basis.
I strongly urge you to do yourself a favor... dump Vista and Internet Explorer... reinstall XP and learn to use Firefox... then you can spend your computer time more efficiently and modify things to your liking with ease.
She's offline but I can tell you they bought the computer with vista and it's driving them nuts lol Her ol' man wants xp in the worst way. I'm trying to convert her to complete firefox (occasional flock) so maybe we can work on her lol.

Shes right I bought it this way and we have considered downgrading to XP. But I am still playing with Vista and he quit asking for XP. I have discovered that Vista is CONSTANTLY updating and has extremely good security. almost too good sometimes!
No offense taken and thanks for the advise. :)
Good night all. 6 am comes quickly and I need lots of Beauty sleep!
XP to Vista is not a downgrade. That Vista is constantly updating is proof positive that it was a premature release and the security that MS is throwing at the OS is still inferior to what McAfee or Symantec offers with daily virus and firewall updates.
"Too good security" perhaps means that you are warned about every move you make. Not good. I believe that if you read the major tech sites they will all concur on my statements. CNET, PC World, The Langa List, The Elder Geek, Paul Thurrotts Super Site... check them out.
